#BigWater #Sunsets never get old. Thankful for the beauty. Finally... #bigwaterbliss My companion of 16 years, my sweet soul mate, and faithful friend went to kitty heaven today. He was such a gentle and wonderful cat. From China to the US, from South Carolina, to Michigan, to Arizona, to Alabama, we covered a lot of miles together. Teeshka was my home. I always looked forward to returning from my travels to his kitty love. He helped me write and he taught me a lot about life. We braved through sickness together. He never gave up on finding joy and play in life. And always worked his magic to get everyone to like him. I already miss him terribly. Stunning #lake views. Rainbow stayed on for hours. Working on manuscript revisions that are due this week, but having way too much fun with this American Dictionary. I have always loved dictionaries. But find it deeply ironic that life on the tenure track makes it difficult - if not completely impossible - to savor words and marvel at their beauty. #AcademicWriting A beautiful Juneteenth celebration!
